Savannah Guthrie urges captors of her mother to release her
Today show host Savannah Guthrie posted a new appeal on Instagram asking those who abducted her 84-year-old mother to return her safely.
Savannah Guthrie, co-anchor of the "Today" show, used her Instagram account on Monday to ask the individuals who abducted her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, to release her. Guthrie said her family has "done our part" and will continue searching for Nancy, who disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona home on Jan. 31, six months ago. She addressed the kidnappers directly, stating, "The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place, and I know that you have tried to do things the right way. So I am asking you, begging you, to do the right thing now." The post follows a previous on-air appeal made by Guthrie on June 23 during an NBC broadcast. The case remains under investigation.
