Savannah Guthrie urges public help in search for missing mother, offers $1 million reward
Today host Savannah Guthrie posted a new Instagram appeal for information on her mother, who vanished in January, and announced a $1 million reward for tips.
Savannah Guthrie used Instagram on Monday to ask anyone with information about her mother’s disappearance to come forward. Nancy Guthrie vanished from her Tucson-area home on the night of Jan. 31, and investigators have released limited leads, including a door-camera video showing a masked individual at the residence on Feb. 1. The FBI is still seeking tips and can be reached at 1-800-CALL-FBI. Guthrie and her family have pledged a $1 million reward for information leading to her return.
"We’re begging for your help, and I’m not going to miss that opportunity. And so please if you’re watching, no matter how small, the reward is there. You can tell us, it can be anonymous. Please do the right thing for us, for our family, for our children," Guthrie told viewers of the Today show.
Authorities have previously received two notes, one of which claimed the 84-year-old had died, but no verification has been provided. The case remains open as the family continues its search.
