Patriots Hold Helmet-Free Walkthrough in Third Practice Session
The New England Patriots conducted a helmet-free walkthrough during their third practice, with several players listed on injury reserves and no new injuries reported.
The New England Patriots held their third practice on Monday, opting for a helmet-free walkthrough that saw players wearing casual attire such as bucket hats and baseball caps. The session lasted about an hour and featured a relaxed dress code of t-shirts and shorts or sweats.
Head coach Mike Vrabel noted that while nothing is guaranteed, he is pleased with the progress of rookie Gabe Jacas, who is recovering from a knee injury. > "Nothing is 100%," Vrabel said. "I am excited where he is at. He wants to get back out there, play ball and be the player that we drafted and wanted to be here."
The Patriots' injury report listed defensive end Harold Landry, tight end CJ Dippre, and edge rusher Gabe Jacas on the physically unable to perform list, with running back Terrell Jennings on the non-football injury list. Tight end Jack Westover and fullback Reggie Gilliam returned to practice, while right tackle Morgan Moses participated fully. No new injuries were reported.
The team’s recent practice routine follows a pattern of slower starts in previous seasons, though the Patriots reached the Super Bowl last year and currently have one of the league’s better injury situations.
