Savannah Guthrie appeals for information on missing mother in new video

Summary

Co-anchor Savannah Guthrie posted a video urging anyone with knowledge of her mother Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance to come forward, as the case approaches six months.

Savannah Guthrie, co-anchor of the TODAY show, posted a video on Instagram on July 27 asking the person who may have taken her mother, Nancy Guthrie, to reveal her whereabouts. Guthrie said the family has been living in “agony” for months and reiterated that they will continue searching for her.

Nancy Guthrie was taken from her home near Tucson, Arizona, in the early hours of Feb. 1, and police suspect an intruder abducted her. She remains missing.

“I am asking you — begging you — to do the right thing now. Help us find her. Tell us where to look for her,” Guthrie said in the video.

The appeal follows a June 23 report by NBC News that a second note, allegedly linked to the case, claimed Nancy had died but offered no apology or ransom demand. Guthrie described the note as “unusual and unprecedented” and reiterated her request for any information, even anonymously.

“We’re begging for your help… the reward is there. Please do the right thing for us, for our family, for our children,” she said on TODAY.

Authorities have not provided further updates, and the investigation remains open.
