Samsung unveils Galaxy Z Fold 8, a compact foldable phone priced at $1,900
Samsung's new Galaxy Z Fold 8 features a 4:3 aspect ratio, dual 50-megapixel cameras and a $1,900 price tag, with reviewers noting its compact design and versatile displays.
Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 8, a foldable smartphone built in a book-style form factor. The device offers a 5.5-inch cover screen for routine tasks and a 7.6-inch inner display that supports both landscape video playback and portrait app use. It is equipped with two 50-megapixel rear cameras, a 4,800-mAh battery and supports 45-watt wired and 20-watt wireless charging. The starting price is $1,900.
"The Z Fold 8 feels different from most phones sold today," a reviewer noted after testing the phone following Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event in London.
The model retains the design language of the previous generation, which earned a CNET Editors’ Choice Award, and will be evaluated further in an ongoing review series.
