Jerry O'Connell says he deliberately teased ex Giuliana Rancic during gym encounters
On a podcast, Jerry O'Connell described intentionally confronting his former partner Giuliana Rancic at a gym and mocking her, recalling past remarks from their 2004 breakup.
Actor Jerry O'Connell told host Kelly Ripa on the "Let's Talk Off Camera" podcast that he would approach his former girlfriend Giuliana Rancic at the Equinox gym and deliberately act in a teasing manner. He said he would walk up to her, speak in an exaggerated tone and say things such as "weird to see you" and "I miss you," noting that the behavior was meant to irritate her.
"It would annoy her so much," O'Connell said, adding that she would tell him to leave and he would continue with over-the-top remarks. He recalled that the two dated from 2003 to 2004 and that Rancic’s 2015 memoir "Going Off Script" described a breakup conducted over an intercom. O'Connell said he could not remember his exact words at the time but acknowledged that the anecdote made a compelling quote for a memoir. He also described himself as a "terrible boyfriend" and mentioned a past incident involving a woman in his condominium and Rancic attempting to enter the premises unannounced, which he said he blocked for security reasons.
