Apple raises Apple Music and Apple One subscription fees

Summary

Apple increased monthly prices for its Apple Music and certain Apple One bundles, citing higher licensing costs, with individual plans now costing $11.99 and family plans $19.99.

Apple announced price increases for its Apple Music service and several Apple One subscription tiers, affecting customers in the United States and other markets. The individual Apple Music plan will cost $11.99 per month, up $1 from the previous rate, while the student plan will rise to $6.99. The family plan for Apple Music will increase by $3 to $19.99 per month.

Apple One’s family tier will be $27.95 per month, a $2 increase, and the Premier tier, which includes all six Apple subscription services and up to 2 TB of iCloud storage, will rise to $39.95 per month, also up $2. The individual Apple One plan, offering four services and 50 GB of iCloud storage, remains at $19.95.

"As a result of rising licensing costs, Apple Music is increasing its subscription price beginning today," Apple said to 9to5Mac.

The adjustments were reflected on Apple’s website on Friday, and the company did not issue a separate press release. Earlier in June, Apple also raised prices for iPad and MacBook hardware, attributing those changes to higher memory-chip costs.
