Spain's World Cup celebration photo excludes President Trump
Spain's national team posted a celebration picture after winning the 2026 World Cup that does not show U.S. President Donald Trump, who had briefly stood on the podium with FIFA chief Gianni Infantino.
Spain's soccer federation shared a photo of the team's celebration following their 1-0 extra-time victory over Argentina in the 2026 World Cup final. United States President Donald Trump, who helped FIFA president Gianni Infantino present the trophy, was not visible in the image posted to the federation's social-media account.
Trump remained on the podium for part of the ceremony before Infantino escorted him off the stage. It is unclear whether the omission resulted from a later shot taken after Trump left or from editing the picture.
The win gave Spain a 20-2 shot advantage and secured the title after Ferran Torres scored in the 106th minute, following a header from Nico Williams.
