Blake Lively makes first public appearance at World Cup final after missing Taylor Swift wedding
Actress Blake Lively was seen at the FIFA World Cup final in New Jersey, her first public outing since not attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's July wedding, amid ongoing legal disputes involving a former director.
Actress Blake Lively was photographed cheering for Spain during the FIFA World Cup final on Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The 38-year-old posted a selfie to Instagram Stories showing herself with friends Libby Glazer, Kendall Arin Glazer and Emma Gray as Spain defeated Argentina 1-0.
The appearance comes after Lively did not attend Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding at Madison Square Garden on July 3. The couple’s celebration, which included a rehearsal dinner on July 1 and a ceremony officiated by Adam Sandler, featured a number of celebrities, but Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds were not listed among the guests.
Lively has been involved in a legal dispute with director Justin Baldoni, who filed a lawsuit in December 2024 alleging sexual harassment and a smear campaign. Baldoni claimed that Swift was subpoenaed after he alleged Lively tried to use the singer’s influence in the film’s production. Swift’s representatives said she was not involved in casting or creative decisions for the project.
Court filings released earlier this year included excerpts from text messages between Lively and Swift. In the messages, Lively expressed concern about their friendship, while Swift replied that she was feeling exhausted and noted recent tensions related to the Baldoni case.
The World Cup outing marks Lively’s first visible public activity since the wedding and the ongoing legal proceedings.
