McGregor returns after five years to face Holloway in welterweight rematch at UFC 329
Conor McGregor and Max Holloway will meet in a five-round welterweight bout at UFC 329 in Las Vegas, marking McGregor's first fight since 2021.
UFC 329 will be staged at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, featuring a welterweight rematch between former two-division champion Conor McGregor and ex-featherweight titleholder Max Holloway. McGregor (22-6) is making his return after a five-year hiatus, while Holloway (27-9) seeks to improve on a recent decision loss to Charles Oliveira.
The fighters first met in 2013, when McGregor won a unanimous decision. Since then, Holloway has captured the featherweight championship, moved up to lightweight and recorded a notable knockout against Justin Gaethje. The event begins at 5 p.m. ET with an eight-fight preliminary card on Paramount+, followed by the main card at 9 p.m. ET.
The main card includes bouts such as Benoît Saint-Denis vs. Paddy Pimblett, Cory Sandhagen vs. Mario Bautista, and Brandon Royval vs. Lone’er Kavanagh. Preliminary fights feature Robert Whittaker vs. Nikita Krylov, Gable Steveson vs. Elisha Ellison, and Cody Garbrandt vs. Adrian Yañez, among others.
"We are excited to bring back one of the sport's biggest draws for fans," a UFC spokesperson said.
Live updates, round-by-round scoring and highlights will be provided throughout the night.
