The White House announced on X that the first Freedom Fuel station has opened in Philadelphia, offering gasoline at $3.47 per gallon, which is lower than the U.S. average of $3.80 reported by AAA. The station is operated by a private company that runs 25 filling stations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and the administration says it is not financially involved with the network. A White House spokesperson told CBS News that the lower price results from reduced profit margins rather than subsidies. The price is also below the Pennsylvania state average of $3.98, according to local reports. > "President Trump is leading the charge to lower gas prices this summer — putting more money in your pocket," the White House said in its post.
