Spencer Pratt Criticizes NYC Mayor Mamdani's Independence Day Remarks

Spencer Pratt, known for his appearances on reality television, posted a video over the Independence Day weekend condemning New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for delivering a speech that linked the holiday to immigration and criticism of U.S. policies. Mamdani, who was born in Uganda and became a naturalized citizen, addressed a crowd from a historic desk, highlighting issues such as immigration enforcement, economic inequality and what he described as a "supremacy" dynamic in the United States.

In his response, Pratt called Mamdani a "vile, commie" and accused him of attacking American history. He wore a T-shirt reading "the anti-socialists social club" and spoke from the site of his former Los Angeles home that was destroyed by fire. Pratt argued that love for the nation is essential and warned that attempts to “erase history” undermine patriotism.

Mamdani’s remarks, which included criticism of ICE agents and references to wealth concentration, were not commented on by his office at the time of publication.
