Celebrities Praise Taylor Swift and Travis Kelke’s Madison Square Garden Wedding
Family members and a roster of high-profile guests described the July 3 ceremony at Madison Square Garden as a joyful and intimate celebration of the pop star and NFL player.
Mother of the groom, Donna Kelce, said the ceremony was "magical" in a short video posted by a retailer, responding to a fan question about the event. The wedding, held on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, was officiated by actor and comedian Adam Sandler, according to a Swift representative.
Author Glennon Doyle and former U.S. soccer player Abby Wambach posted photos of their outfits and offered congratulations, noting the bride and groom appeared exceptionally happy. Doyle wrote, "Yes. And tender. And somehow so big yet so… small. Intentional, real. So much joy. And I can say without hyperbole that I've never witnessed a happier bride or groom."
Director Joseph Kahn, who has worked with Swift on music videos, said the celebration was both humorous and emotional, and despite its scale felt intimate. He added that he spoke with filmmaker Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw during the festivities.
Singer Kelsea Ballerini referenced a Swift song in a post, wishing the couple "Long live a love story" and describing herself as "still crying and dancing." Sports broadcaster Erin Andrews called the evening "magic" in an Instagram post, while actress Niecy Nash said the "love in the room was palpable" and described the event as "wowwwwwww‼️."
Other attendees, including actor Eric Stonestreet, singer Ciara and NFL player Russell Wilson, shared photos of their looks and expressed joy at being part of the celebration.
