Apple rolls out iOS 27 beta 3 to developers
Apple has made the iOS 27 beta 3 build available to registered developers, adding UI tweaks, new wallpapers and updated Siri features ahead of the public beta expected in July.
Apple released the iOS 27 beta 3 update for registered developers on Tuesday, marking the second developer-only build since the operating system was announced at WWDC. The build, identified as 24A5380h, can be installed via Settings → General → Software Update, selecting the iOS 27 Developer Beta under Beta Updates.
The beta introduces several visual and functional changes. The Reminders app now displays a refreshed icon with hollow, colored bullet points. Text indexing in the Settings app has been renamed to “Optimizing Search and Siri.” In the Camera app, Siri Mode requires the updated Siri engine, and new sliders for voice pace and expressivity are functional. New Golden Gate Bridge-themed wallpapers and screen savers are also included.
Safari gains four listed features at launch: automatic tab organization, topic-based bookmark browsing, page-change notifications, and the ability to create custom extensions. Icon rendering has been adjusted, with softer specular highlights on clear and tinted icons.
Apple Intelligence assets are re-downloaded for some devices between beta 2 and beta 3, temporarily resetting access to the new Siri capabilities. The update supports iPhone 11 and later, as well as iPhone SE 2 and newer; however, Siri AI and other Apple Intelligence functions require newer hardware.
Apple plans to continue beta testing through the summer, with a public beta slated for July and a full release expected in September alongside the next iPhone lineup.
