Trump posts over 100 messages on Truth Social following weather-delayed July 4 speech
President Donald Trump made more than 100 Truth Social posts on Sunday, covering criticism of a federal judge, promotion of infrastructure projects and personal tributes, after his Independence Day address was disrupted by rain.
President Donald Trump posted at least 105 messages on his Truth Social platform on Sunday, the day after a late-night Independence Day speech in Washington, D.C., was delayed by rain. The posts included attacks on federal Judge Sparkle Sooknanan, who had recently blocked a voter-roll screening rule, with Trump sharing screenshots from allies that questioned the judge’s background.
Trump also highlighted a series of Washington-area beautification projects, sharing images of newly regilded statues, renovated White House columns, a refilled Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and other restored fountains. He claimed the pool’s water appeared clearer under his administration than under the previous one.
In personal posts, Trump shared photographs of his late father, Fred Trump, calling him a “mentor,” and of his late uncle, MIT professor John G. Trump, whom he has previously praised for his scientific achievements. He also posted a historic photo of actor Macaulay Culkin, referencing Culkin’s cameo in a 1992 film.
The president noted that his account was the most popular on TikTok, thanked FIFA for reinstating U.S. player Folarin Balogun, and asserted that 400,000 people attended his speech and fireworks event, though only 150,000 remained after a storm-related evacuation, a decision he said he overruled.
White House aides, including staff member Natalie Harp, have been reported to assist with the president’s Truth Social activity. The extensive posting pattern aligns with previous weekend and holiday activity on the platform.
