A law-enforcement source confirmed that singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will hold their wedding at Madison Square Garden on Friday, with a rehearsal dinner scheduled for Thursday.
A law-enforcement official briefed on security arrangements said Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will be married at Madison Square Garden on Friday night. The couple is expected to hold a smaller rehearsal dinner on Thursday, the source added, speaking anonymously because they are not authorized to discuss the event publicly.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani confirmed that a permit for a "large event" at the arena has been filed, stating, > "We are fully prepared. There isn't anything to share beyond that."
Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the NYPD will have a detail in place for the ceremony but declined to provide further specifics.
Earlier this week, crews were seen unloading equipment and briefly displaying a large carpet outside one entrance of the venue, which was then removed. The couple has not issued any public comment despite multiple requests for a statement.
