Bunnie Xo's Consideration of Returning to Adult Work Cited as Factor in Jelly Roll Divorce

Summary

Sources say Bunnie Xo's plans to re-enter adult entertainment created tension that contributed to her split from singer Jelly Roll, who filed for divorce in May.

A source told Rob Shuter's "Naughty But Nice" newsletter that Bunnie Xo began seriously contemplating a return to adult entertainment, which sparked tension in her marriage to country-rap artist Jelly Roll. The 46-year-old, who previously worked in the sex-work industry, said on her "Dumb Blonde" podcast that she had supported the couple financially early in their relationship, describing how she earned money through "sugar daddies" and "turning tricks" to pay bills, lawyers and touring expenses.

According to the same source, Jelly Roll grew concerned that a renewed involvement in adult entertainment could affect his career, noting his public expression of Christian faith and recent collaboration with Christian artist Brandon Lake. A second source added that the dispute was not about morality but about differing visions for the future, leading the couple to see incompatible paths.

Jelly Roll, whose legal name is Jason DeFord, met Xo in 2015 and married her in 2016. The couple separated two years later after Xo discovered an affair, an episode she recounted in her memoir "Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic." They later reconciled, but Jelly Roll filed for divorce in May. Both parties have indicated they intend to remain friends after the separation.
