Apple devices see steep discounts ahead of Prime Day
Major retailers are offering notable price cuts on Apple products such as MacBooks, iPads and AirPods as Amazon Prime Day approaches.
Amazon Prime Day is prompting a wave of price reductions on Apple hardware across multiple retailers. Early offers, already visible on Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart, include the AirPods Pro 3 for $180, a $70 discount, and the MacBook Air with the new M5 chip starting at $950, $149 off the regular price. Other highlighted deals feature the AirPods Max 2 at $499, the iPad Pro 11-inch model for $900, and the Apple Watch Ultra 3 for $700. Accessories such as Apple’s 35-watt dual USB-C charger, MagSafe chargers and various Beats headphones are also listed with savings ranging from $10 to $110.
CNET’s shopping team is monitoring the promotions, emphasizing that Apple’s own stores rarely discount products outside of education programs, so consumers must rely on authorized sellers for savings. The outlet notes that deeper discounts are typically found on earlier-generation or refurbished models, and it advises shoppers to verify price histories to avoid inflated “discounts.”
"Our experts track real price drops and ensure the deals we feature represent genuine savings," a CNET spokesperson said.
The site plans to update the list as new offers emerge and encourages readers to follow its deals coverage through its website, newsletter and text alerts.
