Summary

Following a recent medical examination, Donald Trump's physician reported that the president is in 'excellent health' and fit to continue his duties. The exam included heart imaging and cancer screenings, revealing improvements in his overall health metrics.

Donald Trump’s latest medical examination has concluded with Dr. Sean Barbabella reporting that the president is in excellent health and 'fully fit' to serve. Conducted at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the examination involved various assessments, including a CT scan and cancer screenings performed by 22 specialists.

Following the three-hour evaluation, Trump shared that all results checked out 'PERFECTLY.' At 79 years old, he weighed 238 pounds, which is a 14-pound increase since April 2025. Despite this, the doctors confirmed his cognitive and physical performance remains excellent, though they provided him with guidance on diet, exercise, and weight management.

Trump, who stands at 6-foot-3, has a body mass index of 29.7, which is close to the obesity threshold. The report noted some bruising on his hands, attributed to frequent handshaking and clarified as a benign effect of aspirin therapy. Recommendations included a transition to low-dose aspirin.

Last year, Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition among older adults. While this year's report observed 'slight lower leg swelling,' it indicated an improvement from the previous assessment.

In terms of cognitive health, Trump received a perfect score on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, which screens for dementia, mirroring his scores from previous evaluations. His cholesterol levels have significantly improved, now at 143, thanks to medication that targets both LDL and HDL cholesterol.

This examination is the fourth publicly disclosed since he resumed office for a second term, amid efforts to project strength in light of upcoming elections. Although past administrations have released selective health information, there is no legal requirement for presidents to disclose comprehensive health records, leading to varying levels of transparency over the years.
