Apple Reportedly Preparing Foldable iPhone With New Display and Design Features for 2025
Apple is expected to launch its first foldable iPhone next year, featuring a crease-free display, multiple cameras, and a titanium design, according to industry reports.
Apple is reportedly planning to introduce its first foldable iPhone in 2025, after years of development and speculation. Industry sources indicate the device will feature a 7.8-inch inner display and a 5.5-inch outer display, offering both larger and smaller screen options compared to current iPhone models.
The foldable iPhone is rumored to use a 'crease-free' book-style design, addressing a common issue seen in other foldable smartphones. Analyst Ming Chi Kuo has stated that the device is expected to measure between 9 and 9.5 millimeters thick when folded, and 4.5 to 4.8 millimeters when unfolded, making it thinner than some upcoming standard iPhone models.
Camera capabilities are expected to include four lenses: two 48-megapixel rear cameras and front-facing cameras for both folded and unfolded use. The device will reportedly rely on Touch ID for authentication, likely integrated into the side button, instead of the Face ID system used in other premium iPhones. This change is attributed to space constraints within the foldable design.
The iPhone Fold is also expected to incorporate titanium in its hinge and casing, despite Apple moving away from titanium in other upcoming models. Analysts suggest the launch could influence broader adoption of foldable devices, though details about software features for the larger display remain unconfirmed.
