President Donald Trump is set to visit China this week, accompanied by 17 leading U.S. corporate executives, including Apple CEO Tim Cook and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
President Donald Trump is scheduled to depart Washington today for a visit to China, accompanied by 17 prominent U.S. corporate executives. The delegation includes Apple CEO Tim Cook, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman, Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg, and Citi CEO Jane Fraser.
During the visit, President Trump is expected to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss trade relations and potential agreements. The agenda may include discussions on U.S. agricultural exports and aircraft sales.
This trip marks President Trump's first visit to China since 2017 and comes amid ongoing trade tensions between the two nations. The inclusion of top executives from technology and financial sectors underscores the significance of economic discussions during the visit.
Notably, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang was not invited to join the delegation, despite China's interest in the company's AI and chip-making business.
The visit aims to stabilize economic relations and address key issues, including trade imbalances and technological cooperation.
