Man Arrested After Incident Near Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's Residence

Summary

A man was arrested near Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's home on the Sandringham Estate for alleged public order offenses and possession of an offensive weapon.

On Wednesday evening, Norfolk Police arrested a man near the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England, on suspicion of a public order offense and possession of an offensive weapon. The incident occurred around 7:30 PM in the village of Wolferton, close to Marsh Farm, the residence of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

According to reports, the suspect, wearing a balaclava, approached Mountbatten-Windsor while he was walking his dogs. The former prince and his security officer retreated to their vehicle and left the area as the man allegedly attempted to pursue them. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody and transported to King's Lynn for questioning. Police have not specified the type of weapon involved.

Mountbatten-Windsor, 66, relocated to Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate after vacating Royal Lodge in Windsor. He was stripped of his royal titles and honors in October 2025 due to his association with the late Jeffrey Epstein. The incident has raised concerns about his current security arrangements, which have been reduced since his withdrawal from public duties.
