Dolly Parton Cancels Las Vegas Residency Due to Health Concerns
Country music icon Dolly Parton has canceled her upcoming Las Vegas residency, citing ongoing health issues that require further recovery time.
Country music legend Dolly Parton has announced the cancellation of her Las Vegas residency, originally scheduled for September 2026, due to ongoing health concerns. In a video message posted on her social media accounts, the 80-year-old singer stated that while she is "responding really well to meds and treatments" and "improving every day," she requires additional time to reach "stage-performance level."
Parton humorously noted that some medications make her feel "swimmy-headed," making it challenging to perform while carrying instruments and wearing high heels. She expressed regret to fans who had purchased tickets, encouraging them to enjoy Las Vegas and promising to see them "somewhere down the line."
Despite the cancellation, Parton remains active in other ventures, including recording music, producing videos, and working on a Broadway musical. She is also involved in developing a museum and hotel in Nashville, set to open later this year.
Parton, known for hits like "Jolene" and "9 to 5," has not toured since 2016. The Las Vegas residency would have marked her first extended stay on the Strip since the 1990s.
