Production of 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' to Resume Following Investigation
Hulu's reality series 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' is set to resume production after a pause due to a domestic violence investigation involving cast member Taylor Frankie Paul.
Production of Hulu's reality series "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" is set to resume after a pause initiated in mid-March due to a domestic violence investigation involving cast member Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. The Draper City Police Department in Utah conducted the investigation following an alleged incident in February. The Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office announced last week that no charges would be filed against Paul.
The series, which follows a group of Utah-based TikTok influencers known as "MomTok," had halted filming on its fifth season amid the legal proceedings. While production is slated to continue, it remains unclear when filming will resume or whether Paul and Mortensen will return to the show.
In a recent Instagram post, Paul addressed the situation, stating, "Here come the ugly parts of what healing actually looks like... I’m well aware that's a part of it. We’ll get there."
The production pause also led to the cancellation of Paul's season as the lead on "The Bachelorette," which was removed from ABC's schedule just days before its planned premiere.
As the series prepares to resume, the future involvement of Paul and Mortensen remains uncertain, pending further developments.
