Summary

Blizzard Entertainment announces 'Lord of Hatred,' the second expansion for Diablo IV, introducing new classes and regions, launching April 28, 2026.

Blizzard Entertainment has announced 'Lord of Hatred,' the second expansion for Diablo IV, scheduled for release on April 28, 2026. This expansion will introduce two new playable classes: the Paladin and the Warlock. The Paladin, a holy warrior, is available immediately to players who pre-purchase the expansion. The Warlock, characterized by its use of metal chains, flames, and destructive power, will be available at launch.

The expansion's narrative centers on a confrontation with Mephisto, the Prime Evil of Hatred, whose influence threatens the sacred isles of Skovos. Players will explore this new region, which features ancient ruins, dense forests, and volcanic coasts.

'Lord of Hatred' also brings significant gameplay updates, including reworked skill trees with new class-specific variants and expanded level caps, a new loot filter for targeted gear acquisition, enhanced crafting systems with the return of the Horadric Cube, and the introduction of Talismans that unlock powerful set bonuses. The endgame experience is overhauled with 'War Plans,' allowing players to craft their progression path, and 'Echoing Hatred,' a challenging gauntlet of demonic hordes.

Pre-purchasing 'Lord of Hatred' grants immediate access to the Paladin class and includes the first expansion, 'Vessel of Hatred,' enabling players to follow Neyrelle into the jungles of Nahantu as she seeks to cleanse Mephisto’s soulstone.

'Lord of Hatred' will be available on multiple platforms, including PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
