A 36-year-old man has been charged after a car struck seven pedestrians in Derby's Friar Gate area on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. when a black Suzuki Swift mounted the pavement, injuring four men and three women aged between 36 and 52. All victims sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at the scene before being transported to Royal Derby Hospital and Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
