iPhone 18 Pro Rumored to Feature Smaller Dynamic Island
Recent leaks suggest the iPhone 18 Pro will have a reduced Dynamic Island, achieved by relocating some Face ID components under the display.
Recent leaks indicate that Apple's upcoming iPhone 18 Pro may feature a smaller Dynamic Island, achieved by moving certain Face ID components beneath the display.
According to reports, the width of the Dynamic Island could decrease from approximately 20.76 mm to about 13.49 mm, marking a reduction of roughly 35%.
This design change is reportedly facilitated by relocating the infrared flood illuminator under the display, while other Face ID components and the front-facing camera remain within the Dynamic Island.
However, some sources suggest that the iPhone 18 Pro models may retain the current Dynamic Island size, with plans for under-display Face ID postponed to a future generation.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro models in September 2026.
