Nvidia Unveils AI Innovations at GTC 2026
At GTC 2026, Nvidia introduced NemoClaw for AI agent development, DLSS 5 for enhanced gaming visuals, and the Vera CPU for advanced AI applications.
At the GPU Technology Conference (GTC) 2026, Nvidia unveiled several advancements in artificial intelligence and computing. CEO Jensen Huang highlighted the company's commitment to leading the AI industry, focusing on data center platforms and the trend toward agentic AI.
Nvidia introduced NemoClaw, a reference stack for the OpenClaw AI agent platform, designed to simplify the creation of autonomous AI agents. NemoClaw offers a straightforward installation process and includes an isolated sandbox with policy-based guardrails to enhance data privacy and security. It also optimizes always-on assistants for continuous 24/7 task performance, particularly on dedicated Nvidia hardware.
The company also announced DLSS 5, an AI-powered upscaling technology aimed at enhancing visual fidelity in gaming. DLSS 5 employs real-time neural rendering to infuse pixels with photorealistic lighting and materials. The AI model is trained to understand features such as characters, fabrics, translucent skin, and environmental lighting by analyzing single frames, subsequently generating upscaled visuals for the scene. DLSS 5 is set to launch this fall, with support from major game developers including Bethesda, Capcom, Ubisoft, and Warner Bros. Games. Titles such as Assassin's Creed Shadows, Resident Evil: Requiem, Starfield, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered are among those slated to incorporate DLSS 5.
Additionally, Nvidia unveiled the Vera CPU, engineered to deliver double the efficiency and 50% faster performance compared to current CPUs. The Vera CPU is tailored for the era of agentic AI and reinforcement learning, enabling businesses to build AI factories capable of scaling agentic AI applications. It offers the highest single-thread performance and bandwidth per core. CEO Jensen Huang remarked, "Vera is arriving at a turning point for artificial intelligence."
