Israel has intensified its military operations against Hezbollah, launching airstrikes on command centers and weapons storage facilities in Beirut's southern suburb of Dahieh. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that measures were taken to minimize civilian risk, including advance warnings and precision munitions.
In response to Hezbollah's rocket attacks on northern Israel, the IDF has also targeted positions in Tyre, Lebanon. The military emphasized its determination to counter Hezbollah's actions and prevent harm to Israeli residents.
Concurrently, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed disappointment over the reluctance of America's allies to assist in securing the Strait of Hormuz. Several European nations, including Germany, Spain, and Italy, have declined participation in any Gulf mission at this time. Britain and Denmark have indicated they would consider ways to support the U.S. Australia confirmed it would not deploy a warship to the Middle East.
The Strait of Hormuz remains a critical passageway for global oil shipments, and its security is of international concern. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has asserted complete control over the strait, further complicating the situation.
In related developments, flights at Dubai International Airport have resumed on a limited basis following a temporary shutdown due to a drone attack. Additionally, a fire erupted at the Shah oil field in the UAE, reportedly caused by a drone strike. No injuries have been reported in these incidents.
