Samsung Unveils Galaxy S26 Series with Enhanced AI and Privacy Features

Samsung has announced the Galaxy S26 series, comprising the S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra models, each integrating advanced artificial intelligence (AI) features and enhanced privacy options. The series is set for release on March 11, 2026, with the base S26 model priced at $899, the S26 Plus at $1,099, and the S26 Ultra at $1,299.

A standout feature of the S26 Ultra is the "Privacy Display," which restricts screen visibility from side angles, thereby safeguarding sensitive information from onlookers. Additionally, the S26 Ultra boasts a 200-megapixel main camera, offering improved low-light performance and advanced AI-powered photo editing tools.

All models in the S26 series are equipped with upgraded cameras and enhanced battery life. The S26 Ultra features a 6.9-inch Super AMOLED 2X display, powered by the Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 processor, with up to 16GB of RAM. The S26 and S26 Plus models come with 6.3-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively, and are available with either the Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 chipset, depending on the market.

In terms of connectivity, Samsung has introduced satellite communication capabilities across the S26 series, enabling users to send emergency messages when outside of Wi-Fi or cellular coverage. This feature will be rolled out globally through partnerships with telecom operators in North America, Europe, and Japan.

The Galaxy S26 series also introduces new AI tools, including Now Nudge, Photo Assist, and an enhanced Bixby assistant, all running on One UI 8.5 based on Android 16. Samsung has committed to providing seven years of software support for these devices.

Pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 series are currently open, with trade-in credits of up to $900 available. The devices will be available in four standard colors, with additional online-exclusive variants.
