Google has expanded access to Project Genie, its experimental world-building prototype, to AI Ultra subscribers in the United States. This tool allows users to create and explore interactive 3D environments using text prompts and images.
Project Genie operates through three main features: World Sketching, where users design environments and characters; World Exploration, enabling real-time navigation with dynamic path generation; and World Remixing, allowing modification of existing worlds and sharing of creations.
Powered by Google's Genie 3, Nano Banana Pro, and Gemini models, Project Genie is currently in an experimental phase. Users may encounter limitations such as less realistic visuals, limited character control, and a 60-second generation cap.
Access is currently limited to AI Ultra subscribers aged 18 and over in the U.S., with plans to expand to additional regions in the future.
