Samsung Unveils Galaxy Z TriFold at CES 2026
Samsung introduces the Galaxy Z TriFold, a triple-folding smartphone with a 10-inch display, at CES 2026, with U.S. availability expected in Q1 2026.
At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas, Samsung showcased its latest innovation, the Galaxy Z TriFold, a smartphone featuring a triple-folding design that expands into a 10-inch display. This device builds upon the foundation of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 by incorporating a third panel, offering users a more expansive screen experience.
When unfolded, the Galaxy Z TriFold measures 3.9mm in thickness, providing a slim profile for a device of its size. In its folded state, the device is 12.9mm thick, making it portable despite its larger screen. The main display boasts a resolution of 2160 x 1584 pixels with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the cover display measures 6.5 inches with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels.
Under the hood, the TriFold is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with 16GB of RAM and storage options of 512GB or 1TB. The device houses a 5,600mAh battery, supporting 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
The camera setup includes a 200MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Additionally, there are 10MP cameras on both the cover and main displays for selfies and video calls.
Samsung's DeX software is integrated into the TriFold, enabling a desktop-like experience directly on the device's large screen. This feature allows users to run multiple applications simultaneously, enhancing productivity.
The Galaxy Z TriFold was initially released in South Korea on December 12, 2025, followed by launches in China, Taiwan, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates. U.S. availability is anticipated in the first quarter of 2026, with specific dates and pricing yet to be announced.
