Trump Mobile's T1 Smartphone Faces Continued Delays Amid Manufacturing and Regulatory Challenges

Summary

The Trump Organization's T1 smartphone, initially slated for a 2025 release, remains unavailable due to production and regulatory setbacks.

The Trump Organization's T1 smartphone, initially announced in June 2025 with a planned release later that year, has yet to reach consumers as of January 2026. Marketed as a gold-colored device priced at $499, the T1 was promoted as "proudly designed and built in the United States." However, the company has since adjusted its messaging, now describing the phone as "designed with American values in mind," omitting previous claims of domestic manufacturing.

The release timeline has experienced multiple delays. Originally set for August or September 2025, the launch was postponed to the end of the year. Trump Mobile's website currently lists the release date as "later this year," without specifying a timeframe.

A customer service representative attributed the latest delay to the U.S. government shutdown, stating that it disrupted processes at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), thereby affecting the T1's approval and shipment.

Industry analysts have expressed skepticism about the T1's production feasibility. Francisco Jeronimo of International Data Corp. commented, "We have always been quite skeptical about this phone. They are probably finding that it is harder to build a phone than they thought it would be. Let's see if this thing comes to life or not."

In the interim, Trump Mobile continues to offer wireless service plans at $47.45 per month, a price reflecting Donald Trump's titles as the 45th and 47th President. The company is also selling refurbished smartphones, including older iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models, priced between $370 and $630.

As of now, there is no confirmed shipping date for the T1 smartphone, leaving customers who placed $100 deposits awaiting further updates.
