Ukrainian forces have executed a series of drone strikes targeting Russian oil infrastructure. On December 31, drones struck the Tuapse oil refinery and the Tamanneftegaz oil and gas terminal in Russia's Krasnodar region, causing damage to key processing units and loading equipment. Additionally, the Temp oil depot in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region, was hit, igniting a large fire.
These facilities are integral to Russia's fuel storage and distribution network. The Tuapse refinery processes up to 12 million tons of oil annually, while the Tamanneftegaz terminal handles significant volumes of petroleum products and liquefied gases. The Temp oil depot serves as a major reserve storage site.
The attacks are part of Ukraine's ongoing efforts to disrupt Russian military logistics by targeting energy infrastructure. Previous strikes have led to the temporary shutdown of facilities such as the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery in Rostov Oblast.
Russian authorities have acknowledged the incidents, reporting explosions and fires at the affected sites. No casualties have been reported.
