Powerball Jackpot Reaches $1.7 Billion for Christmas Eve Drawing
The Powerball jackpot has climbed to $1.7 billion for the December 24 drawing, marking the fourth-largest in U.S. lottery history.
The Powerball jackpot has surged to an estimated $1.7 billion for the drawing scheduled on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, following 46 consecutive drawings without a grand prize winner. This marks the fourth-largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history.
The winning numbers from Monday's drawing were 3, 18, 36, 41, 54, with a Powerball of 7. Despite no jackpot winner, nine tickets matched five numbers, each winning $1 million.
Players have the option to receive the $1.7 billion prize as a 30-year annuity with annual payments increasing by 5%, or a lump-sum cash payout estimated at $781.3 million before taxes.
Powerball tickets, priced at $2 each, are available in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
The upcoming drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. ET on December 24 and will be broadcast live from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee.
