Powerball Jackpot Reaches $1.5 Billion After No Winner in Wednesday Drawing
The Powerball jackpot has surged to an estimated $1.5 billion after no ticket matched all six numbers in Wednesday's drawing, marking the fifth-largest prize in the game's history.
The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $1.5 billion after no ticket matched all six numbers in Wednesday night's drawing. The winning numbers were 25, 33, 53, 62, 66, and the red Powerball 17. This marks the fifth-largest jackpot in Powerball history and the seventh-largest in U.S. lottery history.
The next drawing is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 10:59 p.m. ET. If a player wins, they can choose between an annuitized prize of $1.5 billion, paid over 30 years, or a lump sum payment estimated at $686.5 million, both before taxes.
The odds of winning the jackpot are approximately 1 in 292.2 million. Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
In addition to the jackpot, several tickets won significant prizes in Wednesday's drawing. Two tickets, sold in Arizona and Massachusetts, matched all five white balls and included the Power Play option, winning $2 million each. Six other tickets matched all five white balls to win $1 million each; these were sold in Connecticut, New York (3), Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.
The Powerball jackpot was last won on September 6, 2025, by two tickets in Missouri and Texas that split a $1.787 billion prize. Since then, there have been 44 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner, setting a game record for the most drawings in a jackpot cycle.
