Samsung Unveils Galaxy Z TriFold with Innovative Design and Premium Features
Samsung introduces the Galaxy Z TriFold, featuring a tri-fold design, expansive displays, and a high-end camera system, with initial availability in South Korea and plans for a U.S. release in early 2026.
Samsung has announced the Galaxy Z TriFold, a foldable smartphone that unfolds into a 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. When folded, it offers a 6.5-inch cover AMOLED screen. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor and includes a 5,600mAh battery. The camera system comprises a 200 MP wide-angle main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The Galaxy Z TriFold was released in South Korea on December 12, 2025, priced at approximately 3.59 million won (around $2,440). Samsung plans to launch the device in the U.S. during the first quarter of 2026, with an expected price near $3,000. The tri-fold design allows the device to function as both a smartphone and a tablet, offering versatility for users. Samsung's approach contrasts with competitors like Huawei's Mate XTs, which features an outward-folding design. The Galaxy Z TriFold's inward-folding mechanism aims to enhance durability and screen protection.
