Donald Trump Calls for NBC to Dismiss Seth Meyers Over 'Trump Derangement Syndrome'

Summary

Former President Donald Trump has urged NBC to terminate late-night host Seth Meyers, accusing him of suffering from 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' and lacking talent.

Former President Donald Trump has called for NBC to fire late-night host Seth Meyers, accusing him of suffering from 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' and lacking talent. In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated, 'NBC’s Seth Meyers is suffering from an incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). He was viewed last night in an uncontrollable rage, likely due to the fact that his ‘show’ is a Ratings DISASTER. Aside from everything else, Meyers has no talent, and NBC should fire him, IMMEDIATELY!'

This is not the first time Trump has criticized Meyers. Earlier this month, he referred to the host as 'the least talented person to ‘perform’ live in the history of television' and a 'truly deranged lunatic.' Meyers responded on his show, stating, 'You can say I’m untalented. You can say I’m deranged. But I’m not the one who talks endlessly about catapults on aircraft carriers!'

Following Trump's recent comments, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, a Trump appointee, reposted the message on his X account. Carr has previously been involved in controversies regarding late-night hosts. In September, he warned ABC stations over comments made by Jimmy Kimmel, leading to the network pulling Kimmel's show for several days. This action drew criticism from figures like Senator Ted Cruz, who compared Carr's remarks to those of a mafia boss. Carr later denied threatening stations with license revocation if Kimmel was not fired.

NBC has not immediately responded to Trump's latest remarks, and Meyers has yet to comment.
