Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra to Feature Enhanced Selfie Camera with Wider Field of View
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to include a larger front camera cutout to accommodate an improved selfie camera with an 85-degree field of view, enhancing group photo capabilities.
Samsung's forthcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra is anticipated to feature a larger front camera cutout, a design change aimed at incorporating an enhanced selfie camera with a wider field of view (FOV). According to reports, the new front camera will offer an 85-degree FOV, an increase from the 80-degree FOV found in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This expansion aligns the front camera's FOV with that of the S25 Ultra's rear wide camera, facilitating the capture of more expansive group selfies. The trade-off for this improvement is a larger Infinity-O display cutout, which may be considered a reasonable compromise for the enhanced functionality. It remains uncertain whether this upgrade will be exclusive to the Ultra model or extend across the entire Galaxy S26 series. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 lineup, including base, Plus, and Ultra models, early next year, with reports suggesting a potential Galaxy Unpacked event in January.
