Paramount Skydance Reports Q3 Loss Amid TV Revenue Decline
Paramount Skydance reported a $257 million loss in Q3 2025, with TV Media revenue falling 12%, while streaming revenue grew 17%.
Paramount Skydance reported a $257 million loss in the third quarter of 2025, with total revenue remaining flat at $6.7 billion. The company's TV Media segment experienced a 12% decline in revenue, primarily due to reduced advertising and distribution fees.
Conversely, the Direct-to-Consumer segment, including Paramount+, saw a 17% increase in revenue, reaching $2.17 billion. Paramount+ added 1.4 million subscribers during the quarter, bringing the total to 79.1 million globally.
In response to these challenges, CEO David Ellison announced plans to invest over $1.5 billion in programming in 2026 to bolster streaming operations and revitalize the film studio. The company also aims to achieve $3 billion in cost savings, with approximately two-thirds attributed to non-labor costs.
Additionally, Paramount Skydance secured a seven-year, $7.7 billion deal for exclusive U.S. media rights to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), starting next year. This agreement aligns with the company's strategy to enhance its streaming content offerings.
Despite the quarterly loss, the company's stock rose by 7% following the earnings report, reflecting investor confidence in the outlined strategic initiatives.
