Tesla Reports Q3 2025 Earnings Amidst Competitive EV Market
Tesla is set to announce its third-quarter 2025 earnings, with analysts anticipating a return to revenue growth and a decline in adjusted earnings per share.
Tesla is scheduled to release its third-quarter 2025 earnings report after the market closes on Wednesday. Analysts expect the company to report approximately $26.6 billion in revenue, marking a 5% increase from the previous quarter, and an adjusted earnings per share of 54 cents, reflecting a 25% decline.
Wedbush analyst Dan Ives noted that investors will be attentive to updates on Tesla's Robotaxi rollout, the production trajectory for the Cybercab, and developments regarding the Optimus humanoid robot.
Tesla's stock has experienced volatility this year, initially declining by 45% due to market reactions to tariffs and political activities. However, the stock has since recovered, aided by tariff pauses, interest rate cuts, and optimism about the company's AI initiatives, and is currently up about 8% year-to-date.
Options pricing data indicates that traders anticipate Tesla shares to move approximately 6.4% in either direction by the end of the week, potentially reaching around $471 or dropping to about $414.
Brian Mulberry, Senior Client Portfolio Manager at Zacks Investment Management, stated that if Tesla can not only beat EPS expectations but also match last quarter's beat of 3% or better, it would likely move the stock higher, as the trend of upside surprises is growing.
Ives emphasized that while the third-quarter results and outlook are important, they take a backseat to Tesla's broader AI initiatives. He maintains a $600 price target on Tesla stock, the highest among Wall Street analysts, and believes the company could reach a $2 trillion market cap by early 2026 in a bullish scenario.
