Britney Spears Refutes Kevin Federline's Memoir Allegations
Britney Spears has publicly denied allegations made by her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, in his forthcoming memoir, emphasizing her commitment to her children.
Britney Spears has publicly addressed allegations made by her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, in his upcoming memoir, "You Thought You Knew," set for release on October 21. In excerpts published by The New York Times, Federline claims that their sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, once awoke to find Spears standing in their doorway holding a knife.
Responding on social media platform X, Spears described Federline's statements as "extremely hurtful and exhausting," emphasizing her ongoing efforts to maintain a relationship with her sons. She expressed feeling "demoralized" by the situation and noted the limited time she has spent with her children in recent years.
A representative for Spears criticized the timing of Federline's memoir, suggesting it coincides with the end of his child support payments. The representative stated that Spears' primary concern is the well-being of her sons amid the media attention surrounding the book.
Federline, who was married to Spears from 2004 to 2006, asserts in his memoir that the situation with Spears "feels like it's racing toward something irreversible." He claims their sons support his decision to share his perspective, stating they are "100 percent behind me telling my story."
Spears' conservatorship, which lasted 13 years, was terminated in 2021 following the #FreeBritney movement. In her own 2023 memoir, "The Woman in Me," Spears detailed her personal struggles and experiences during that period.
