Taylor Swift and Caitlin Clark Attend Chiefs-Lions Game Amid Swift's Album Release
Taylor Swift, following the release of her 12th studio album, attended the Chiefs-Lions game alongside Caitlin Clark, marking her first public NFL appearance this season.
Taylor Swift, fresh off the release of her 12th studio album, "The Life of a Showgirl," attended the Kansas City Chiefs' game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday night. This marked her first public NFL appearance of the season. The 35-year-old singer was seen in a suite alongside Fever star Caitlin Clark during the first quarter of the game.
The Chiefs aimed to recover from a recent 31-28 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on "Monday Night Football" in Jacksonville. Swift had missed that game due to an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," where she discussed her engagement to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Kelce proposed in the backyard of his Missouri home in August, and the couple announced their engagement on August 26.
Prior to this game, Swift had attended two other NFL games this season: a 20-17 Chiefs loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2 and a 37-20 victory against the Baltimore Ravens on September 28. Both games took place at Arrowhead Stadium, where Swift made discreet entrances and was not shown on the broadcast.
During the Super Bowl 2025 rematch, a social media video showed Swift walking behind a screen to her suite, sparking fan theories due to her typically public entrances at Chiefs games. The couple has maintained a lower profile since this year's Super Bowl.
In her press tour for "The Life of a Showgirl," Swift has openly discussed her relationship with Kelce and their engagement. She mentioned that wedding planning has not yet begun, as she has been focused on her album.
On the "New Heights" podcast, Kelce commented on Swift's new song "Wood," which fans speculate is about him. When asked if he feels "cocky" about being Swift's lyrical muse, Kelce responded, "Any song that she references me it's very... I love that girl, so what do you mean? Any song that she would reference me in any way or form." He also suggested that fans might be misinterpreting the lyrics.
