President Trump Receives COVID-19 Booster and Flu Shot During Walter Reed Check-Up
President Donald Trump underwent a routine health evaluation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, receiving both a COVID-19 booster and a flu shot.
President Donald Trump underwent a routine health evaluation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday, during which he received both a COVID-19 booster and a flu shot.
In a memo released by the White House, Dr. Sean Barbarella, the President's physician, stated that Trump "remains in exceptional health, exhibiting strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical performance." The evaluation included advanced imaging, laboratory testing, and preventive health assessments conducted by a team of specialists.
Dr. Barbarella noted that the President's cardiac age, as determined by electrocardiogram analysis, is approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age. He also mentioned that Trump received the vaccinations in preparation for upcoming international travel.
This visit follows a previous physical examination in April and comes after the President addressed rumors regarding his health, including a persistent bruise on his hand. In July, Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition in older adults that can cause swelling and skin discoloration.
At 79, Trump is the oldest person elected U.S. president, surpassing the age of his predecessor at the time of election.
