The Las Vegas Aces clinched their third WNBA championship in four seasons by sweeping the Phoenix Mercury in the 2025 Finals, with A'ja Wilson earning Finals MVP honors.
The Las Vegas Aces have secured their third WNBA championship in four seasons, completing a four-game sweep of the Phoenix Mercury in the 2025 Finals. This marks the first Finals sweep since the Aces were swept by the Seattle Storm in 2020.
In Game 4, the Aces established an early lead, finishing the first quarter ahead by nine points and extending their advantage to 16 by halftime. They led by as many as 20 points early in the third quarter. Despite the absence of Satou Sabally due to a concussion, Alyssa Thomas's shoulder injury late in the first half, and coach Nate Tibbetts's ejection in the third quarter, the Mercury narrowed the gap to six points in the fourth quarter. However, the Aces maintained their composure to secure the victory.
A'ja Wilson led the Aces with 31 points, nine rebounds, and four assists, earning her the Finals MVP title. Chelsea Gray contributed 18 points, four rebounds, and four assists, while Jackie Young added 18 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists. For the Mercury, Alyssa Thomas recorded a triple-double with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists in the loss.
