Eric Dickerson Criticizes Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Halftime Show Amidst Political Controversy
NFL Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson has expressed strong opposition to Bad Bunny's selection for the Super Bowl halftime show, citing the artist's previous critical remarks about U.S. immigration policies.
NFL Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson has publicly criticized the selection of Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny for the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show, referencing the artist's past comments on U.S. immigration policies. Speaking to a TMZ photographer at Los Angeles International Airport, Dickerson stated, "If you don't like the United States, just get your ass out of here and don't come over here."
Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, has previously expressed concerns about performing in the continental U.S. due to potential Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids at concert venues. In a 2025 interview, he mentioned, "The damn ICE could be outside my concert. And it's something we were talking about and that we were very worried about."
The artist's decision to exclude U.S. dates from his recent world tour was interpreted by some as a political statement. Bad Bunny explained, "There were many reasons why I did not go to the United States, and none was for hate. I have acted there many times. All shows have been a success. Everyone has been magnificent. I enjoyed connecting with Latinos living in the United States."
Super Bowl LX is scheduled for February 8, 2026, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
