Former NFL quarterback and current Fox Sports analyst Mark Sanchez was arrested early Saturday morning in Indianapolis following an altercation that resulted in his hospitalization due to stab wounds.

Both were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Sanchez, 38, faces multiple misdemeanor charges, including battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication. He remains hospitalized and has not been booked into jail. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will determine the final charges upon his release.

Sanchez was in Indianapolis to cover the upcoming game between the Indianapolis Colts and Las Vegas Raiders. Analyst Brady Quinn will replace him for the broadcast.

Drafted fifth overall by the New York Jets in 2009, Sanchez led the team to consecutive AFC Championship Games in his first two seasons. He later played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and Washington before retiring in 2019. Sanchez joined Fox Sports as a game analyst in 2021.
