Trump Advisor Indicates ICE Presence at Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Halftime Show
Corey Lewandowski, a former Trump campaign manager, stated that ICE agents will be present at the Super Bowl during Bad Bunny's halftime performance.
Corey Lewandowski, former campaign manager for Donald Trump and current advisor to the Department of Homeland Security, announced that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents will be present at the upcoming Super Bowl during Bad Bunny's halftime performance. In an interview on "The Benny Show," Lewandowski emphasized that there would be no safe haven for individuals in the country illegally, stating, "We will find you, we will apprehend you, we will put you in a detention facility, and we will deport you."
Lewandowski also criticized the NFL's selection of Bad Bunny, a Puerto Rican artist, for the halftime show, describing the decision as "shameful" and suggesting that the performer "seems to hate America."
Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is a U.S. citizen from Puerto Rico. He has previously expressed concerns about ICE presence at his concerts, which influenced his decision to avoid U.S. tour dates. In a recent interview, he mentioned, "F---ing ICE could be outside [my concert]. And it's something that we were talking about and very concerned about."
The Super Bowl halftime show, scheduled for February 8, 2026, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, will be Bad Bunny's only U.S. performance in 2026.
