Keith Urban's Reserved Responses in Interviews Resurface Amid Divorce from Nicole Kidman
Recent interviews with Keith Urban, where he appeared reserved when discussing Nicole Kidman, have resurfaced following news of their divorce after 19 years of marriage.
In the wake of Nicole Kidman filing for divorce from Keith Urban after 19 years of marriage, past interviews with the country singer have resurfaced, highlighting his reserved responses when discussing their relationship.
In a September 2024 interview on Australian radio show Gold 101.7's Jonesy & Amanda, Urban was asked about his initial meeting with Kidman at the G'Day LA event in 2005. When questioned if their paths would have inevitably crossed without that event, Urban replied, "No, I think it would." When further asked about his belief in fate, he responded, "No idea." As the conversation continued, Urban appeared visibly uncomfortable, removing his jacket and concluding with, "You never know. Anyway, moving on."
In July 2025, during an interview on On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Urban was asked about balancing their busy schedules. He acknowledged, "It's a job. Yeah," and added, "Life is in session." When Seacrest commented on their long-standing marriage, Urban responded with a brief, "Mmhmm, yea."
These interviews have gained renewed attention following reports that Kidman filed for divorce on September 30, 2025, citing "irreconcilable differences." The couple, who married in 2006, have two daughters together.
