Microsoft Releases Windows 11 25H2 Update Amid Minor Issues
Microsoft has begun rolling out the Windows 11 25H2 update, introducing minor issues that the company is actively addressing.
Microsoft has initiated the rollout of the Windows 11 25H2 update, which, while not a major overhaul, introduces several enhancements over the previous 24H2 version.
However, the update has been accompanied by a few known issues. Some applications may experience difficulties playing Digital Rights Management (DRM) protected content, leading to errors or playback interruptions. Microsoft has acknowledged this problem and is working on a resolution expected in October 2025.
Another issue involves the Windows Update Standalone Installer (WUSA), which may fail to install .msu files when executed from a network share containing multiple such files. This problem is more prevalent in enterprise environments. Microsoft has provided a workaround and is addressing the issue in a future update.
Additionally, the Media Creation Tool is currently incompatible with ARM64 platforms, displaying an error message when run. Microsoft has noted that the tool does not support creating installation media for ARM64 PCs but functions correctly for x86 builds.
Despite these issues, Microsoft is actively working on fixes and encourages users to update to the latest version to benefit from the new features and improvements.
